After has been exhibited at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009, and for her first solo show in the halls of the Galleria d'Arte Maggiore g.a.m. in Bologna, Sissi returns to manipulate the clay to create a monumental site specific sculpture installation in which unprecedented ceramic elemnts support the bone set, prominent ceramic pots and plates of the L'Imbandita / Laid Table performance presented at the Oratory of San Filippo Neri in Bologna. As explained in Maura Pozzati's essay, curator of the exhibition, we are faced with shapes halfway between Baroque and Surrealism in a universe of bones germinations that, in constant metamorphosis, become 17th-Century stucces and elemnts of a grandiloquent naturalistic landscape, making it difficult to distinguish the contents from the container. A new artist's thought on the theme of the body, true leitmotiv of her whole production, intended both as a surface on which to experience and as interiority to be investigated in the identity aspects.
