20 gallerie d'arte in Italia da conoscere assolutamente

Francesca Amè, Vogue Italia, May 26, 2023
A sort of institution. Since its foundation in Bologna in 1978, the Galleria d'Arte Maggiore g.a.m. has always adhered to a very precise line: works and authors of the upmost quality. This is the orientation that has constantly guided the founders, Franco and Roberta Calarota. It can boast being the only Italian gallery to have made an artist like Giorgio Morandi grow exponentially on the market, provoking public exhibitions and investing the profits in the opening of new markets, such as the Asian one, which took place in the last fifteen years of activity. Today the gallery (which also has a project room in Venice and a new venue in Rome) is led by their daughter Alessia Calarota, who continues to offer high-profile exhibitions such as The Body Shape: the shape of the body from Giorgio de Chirico to Louise Nevelson, from Paul Delvaux to Arman from 5 June set up in the Bologna venue, in the historic center of the city.
