The Art Basel week is about to begin in Basel (June 16-19, preview from 13 to 15), one of the most important dates for the international market of modern and contemporary art, in which galleries present the best of their programme. After the pandemic, the fair returns to the traditional June appointment (in 2021 it was held in September), with 289 galleries from 40 countries, 19 of which are present for the first time. As usual, the Unlimited section kicks off on Monday afternoon with 70 large-scale installations, of which this year - as anticipated by the section curator, Giovanni Carmine - many will refer to current geopolitics.

Italian Presences
A great master of Italian art will instead be the protagonist at Galleria d'Arte Maggiore's booth: Giorgio Morandi, with a solo show that explores the landscapes he created in Grizzana, on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, with prestigious provenances such as the Jesi collection.
