The great masters and the contemporary scene
Origins & Evolutions

June 4 July 31, 2011

The group exhibition displayed in the rooms of the Galleria d'Arte Maggiore in Bologna highlights the passionate research path followed by Franco and Roberta Calarota in over thirty years of their work. Starting from some major fundamental events in the twentieth century, called the "Origins", the audience will be then invited to confront oneselves with some of the most relevant contemporary experiences, called the "Evolutions". The Galleria d'Arte Maggiore has always been focused on the promotion and valorisation of great masters, such as Giorgio Morandi, Giorgio de Chirico and Lucio Fontana. The Gallery, in addition to the promotion of several well-know artists, also supports new revelations, part of a contemporary and international artistic universe, which includes, among others, Robert Indiana, Sebastian Matta, Antoni Clavé, Sandro Chia and also Mattia Moreni, Pablo Echaurren, Mario Nanni, Davide Benati, Nino Longobardi.
